The Newcastle Gay Scene will mark World Aids Day with a candle-lit vigil. The ceremony is to take place on Thursday 1st December in the car park behind The End bar (formerly Rockies) on Scotswood Road, Newcastle. The vigil is due to start at 7.30pm with guest speakers and music.

What are your thoughts on this story? Do you think enough is being done to try and stop the spread of HIV and AIDS? Do you think people are educated enough to know how to prevent the disease spreading? Maybe you think the topic should be one that's taught to children as part of their schooling?

With all the pro-active staff of fbl who put a great deal of time and effort into organising a world aids day event leaving, will there be anything happening this year?
