When did it get so crap? I mean fair enough I only had to pay £4 to get in instead of the ridiculous £10 but good lord that did not make the night any more entertaining. Why do they feel the need to shut the whole building down apart from the disco dance floor bit?
While we were there we were subjected to crazy house...no, wait....funky house, that’s the one. It was anything but bloody funky let me tell you.
I know that places have to cater to all kinds of musical 'taste' but they certainly didn't on Sunday night. In my opinion if you are going to close down all of the other floors that play different kinds of music, then you need to have a mixture on the one floor that you decide to keep open, in order to keep everyone entertained and happy.
Or am I wrong in thinking this?
We asked for decent music until we were blue in the face and ended up leaving early.
Personally I like my music/songs not to last for 15 minutes with nothing but sh*te beats in the middle and the occasional lyric that you get to sing a long to.
When we got to Powerhouse the dance floor was empty apart from the odd individual who was too drunk to care, and therefore as the night went on, the more people got drunk, the busier the dance floor got. I couldn't get drunk fast enough, but at the end I still didn't want to dance to the crap that the DJ insisted on playing. I mean to me, the fact that the dance floor is empty should be a big indication that you’re boring the life out of people.
It's not like me to rant on and on, but this really did annoy me. I was out a few weeks ago on a Sunday night and the music was fine. There was a fine mix and towards the end the dance music seemed to dominate, but I didn't mind as it was in small doses.
Does anyone else get narked by listening to the same genre of music constantly?
